Last week EHS Seniors had the opportunity to participate in the senior tea. This tradition is open to any student who is in their fourth year at high school, and attended elementary school in the Elizabethton school system. The event itself typically consists of reconnecting with old teachers, talking about high school with the kids, and of course enjoying the refreshments. This practice has been an EHS tradition for over twenty years and is much beloved by all participants. When asked what they thought of the experience students, Tory Irmeger responded that, “It was a very neat experience that I found extremely sentimental.” Not only did the students enjoy the day’s events but the teachers at the elementary love to see their former pupils, and now that this year’s tea has passed, are eagerly awaiting the up-coming seniors to visit next year.
