On Friday, March 9th, Elizabethton High School held a Remembrance Ceremony for Todd W. McKeehan. There were nine speakers that represented Todd’s memory. His teachers, friends, and family members were present to be able to remember the amazing person Todd was.  Todd’s astounding life and personality has affected and been present throughout the generations, even touching students today, Kayla Vandeventer and Cassidy Kaldy. As two criminal justice students, the ladies spoke about how through Todd’s bravery their own lives have been affected. As his coaches and teachers spoke about his determination and heartwarming smile, most students and facility were brought to tears. A fellow ATF Agent, Chuck Hustmyre, also spoke about Todd’s bravery and tremendous sacrifice. In addition, Mr. Presnell and Mr. Hardin renamed the criminal justice award in honor of Todd. Furthermore, Carter County Mayor, Leon Humphrey also made a Proclamation of their being a Todd McKeehan Day every year.
