Yesterday, on October 10, a tragic crime took place. While Mr. Samuel Church was in the Media Center speaking with his best friend, Mr. Dustin Hensley, a group of students entered Mr. Church’s classroom and flipped every student desk upside down. Not-so-ironically, there were four students who were involved in a similar stunt a few years ago: John-Philip Abner, Isaiah Stenzel, Max Garbe, and Caleb Skeen. These students did not admit to the crime, and deny that they had any part in it, though Caleb Skeen was in the library at the time of the incident also conversing with Mr. Church—possibly creating a purposeful diversion.

The four boys and many other students who enjoyed the flipping prank years back are thrilled that this has continued after they stopped, and hope that it will continue in years to come. “What makes this great is it really wasn’t any of us this time. It’s great to see someone taking up our legacy” said senior Max Garbe.

Mr. Church, on the other hand, was less than amused. “If you were in some way involved with flipping my desks upside down, you need to turn yourself in immediately,” Church said in a video posted on social media. Church included his sidekicks in the video: his son, Asher Church, and his cat, Binx.

Beware desk flippers! Mr. Church will find you, and he will “end” you.
